A cleaning company born out of passion, purpose.
Aaron & Kirsty Harvey-Angell didn’t just start Sarnia Shine to offer cleaning services – they built it to create real opportunities. With two young children, full-time jobs, and a dream to flip the script on how people work, they launched a company that puts people first here in Guernsey. From humble beginnings to a fast-growing team, this is the story of how Sarnia Shine is cleaning up the industry – one happy client and empowered cleaner at a time.

How It All Began
We are Aaron & Kirsty Harvey-Angell, Guernsey born and bred. We have 2 very young children and both work full time jobs plus extras. So we thought it would be a good idea to start a business on top of all of this just to add to the chaos and fun. So back in October 2024 we decided the time was right to start our planning on the business. With Aaron’s background in Bookkeeping & Kirsty’s HR Experience we make the best team. The heart of the business will always be our cleaners. hardworking on the front line. We can’t thank them enough for all they do and we would be lost without them.
Our Mission & Mindset
We started working ourselves but quickly took on cleaners from January 2025 and expand to this day. Our planning to detail was so good that we are yet to face a difficult time and always continuing to grow.
Our mission to change the way businesses are run and really give people the work/life balance in their favour. We have flipped the script when it comes to employment and we very much give our cleaners the freedom they wish while keeping our clients happy and a decent wage to take home.
Within our first year into our lifetime business journey has seen us achieve results only other new startups could dream of. A lot of hours behind the scenes have really paid off. The more we grow the more work is needed. we thrive off the success and drives us to achieve a lot more.
Looking Ahead
We want to be a company that people want to work for, once they see what Sarnia Shine has to offer and the freedom they gain. We are working closely with the Job Centre to supply a flexible working environment to those who are looking to get back into work or looking for further financial gains.
